This Week in Golf – 8/16/2022
The last night of the regular season was a pleasant one, with cooler temperatures than the last couple of weeks.
Bill Meehan had the best round of the week with a score of 8 over par 44 on the back nine.  Although Rick Kilduff's
score of 43 on the front nine was one stroke lower, Bill had a better score relative to par.
John Buscaglia and Sue Donovan each had net scores of three under par, which was the low net score for the
week.  John has had a run of good play recently.  His handicap has dropped by four strokes in the last five weeks.
Looking to win the Aggie trophy in a second straight year, Ivan Audouin was matched against George Lewis, who
was tied for second place.  Ivan had the better of the play, taking 14 points in the match.  In the end, he won the
Aggie by seven points.  Congratulations, Ivan.
Glenn Davis and Anil Narwani were in ninth place at the start of the week and were looking to move into the top
eight and into the playoffs.  By taking 26 points in their match, they were able to move into the seventh spot.  They
will face the second seeds, Rick Kilduff and John Buscaglia.
Sue Donovan and Rich Geary held on to the last playoff spot.  They will take on the regular season champions,
Alan Fraser and George Weigler.
The other playoff matches will feature Rob Moran and Ollie Bisson against Ivan Audouin and Norma Giannattasio
and Carl Twomey and Eric Solomont against Steve Schlehuber and George Lewis.
