This Week in Golf – 8/9/2022
It was a brutally hot day.  A line of thunderstorms moved through the area about an hour before the start of play
and cooled things off to the point where it was bearable.  Fortunately, we were able to dodge any further storms the
rest of the evening.
Mike Nolan had the low round of the week with a six over par score of 40 on the front nine.  He had five pars, two
bogeys, and two double bogeys in his round.
Maria Spitzak had the low net score for the week.  Her score of 46 on the front nine gave her a net score of four
under par.  Having just returned from a trip to Scotland, she must have been channeling the spirit of Old Tom Morris
as she had her best round of the year.
Honorable mention goes to Rich Geary and John Buscaglia, who each had net scores of three under par.
Ivan Audouin was able to extend his lead in the Aggie standings to three points over both Rob Moran and George
Lewis. A trio of golfers are three points further back, with an outside shot of overtaking Ivan. It will all come down to
the final week.
