This Week in Golf – 8/2/2022
It was another hot afternoon with a potential for some late showers, but they never materialized.  Two more weeks
remain before the playoffs.
Rob Moran had the low round of the week, with a three over par score of 37 on the front nine.  Rob had six pars
and three bogeys.  His net score of six under par was also the low net score for the week.  He now has the Low
Net A score for the year.
Ivan Audouin, Steve Schlehuber and Jim Stead all posted net scores of four under par.  Ivan and Steve would have
tied the previous Low Net A if not for Rob's round.
Both Ivan and Rob took 14 points in their respective matches, so Ivan still holds a one point lead in the Aggie
standings.  The two have separated a bit from the rest of the pack, but there are still a handful of players who have
a chance to overtake them.
On the par 4 second hole, Brian Cappello's approach shot hit the flagstick and settled a couple of feet away from
the hole.  Playing from the other side of the fairway, Joe Shea followed by also hitting the flagstick with his
approach.  Joe's putt was a little longer than Brian's, but both made birdie.  Brian also had a birdie on the par 3
fourth hole, where he holed a long putt.
Eric Solomont also had a birdie on the second hole.  Alan Fraser had one on the 11th hole, which was the only
birdie on the back nine.
