This Week in Golf – 7/19/2022
High temperatures and low scores were the order of the day.  Overnight storms ushered in a heat wave, but that
did not stop the league from posting quite a few sub-par net scores.
Mike Nolan had the low round of the week with a score of five over par 41 on the back nine.  His net score of four
under par ties the Low Net A score for the year.  Mike had a birdie on the par four 11th hole.  That gives him a total
of four for the season, which leads the league.
John Buscaglia and Dave McGann each posted net scores of five under par, which gave them the low net score
for the week by one stroke.  Greg Martinez and Jim Stead matched Mike Nolan's net score of four under par.
Judi Gray was among the seven players to post net scores of three under par.  Judi continues her run of good play.
Her handicap has dropped six strokes over her last five rounds.
All told, there were 16 players who posted net scores of two under par or better.
Bill Meehan won the sleeve of balls for Closest to the Pin this week with a distance of 11 feet on the 4th hole.
Rich Geary had his first birdie of the season on the par 4 7th hole.
