This Week in Golf – 6/21/2022
The first official day of summer was followed by another fine evening for golf.  We are now halfway through  the
regular season.
The low round of the week belonged to Steve Schlehuber, who shot a 7 over par 41 on the front nine.  Steve
managed to score low despite not hitting a green in regulation.
Bill Meehan matched Steve's score in relation to par with a 43 on the back nine.  Bill finished his round with a birdie
on the 18th hole.  Bill now has three birdies on the year, all on the 18th hole.
There was a tie for the low net score of the week between two players who happened to be matched against each
other.  Mary Geary and Greg Martinez both had net scores of six under par.  That establishes a new Low Net B
score for the year.  In fact, all four players in the group bettered their handicaps, as Jim Geary and Bill Meehan
each posted net scores of one under par.
John Buscaglia was on pace to join Mary and Greg until he found the greenside bunker on the 18th hole and ended
up taking a 9 on the hole.  He would finish with a net score of three under.
Judi Gray didn't let a medical procedure slow her down.  Despite arriving late after her appointment, she made the
four holes that she played count.  She won two holes and tied another to take five points.
