| This Week in Golf – 6/14/2022 | |||||||
| The streak of good weather continued this week. It was sunny and warm, with the temperature near 80 degrees at | |||||||
| tee time. | |||||||
| Alternate Brian Cappello had the low round of the week with a score of 40 on the back nine. Brian started strong | |||||||
| with a birdie on the 10th hole. Three pars and five bogies gave him his four over par score. | |||||||
| Brian's net score of three under par was good enough to tie two other players for the low net score for the week. | |||||||
| Rick Kilduff and George Lewis also recorded net scores of three under par on the back nine. Rick tied the Low Net | |||||||
| A score for the year, while George missed the Low Net B score by one stroke. | |||||||
| Rick Kilduff found the green with his tee ball on the 14th hole. He paced it off at nine and a half feet. As he stood on | |||||||
| the 15th tee, the next group put one on the green and Rick remarked, "Well, that didn't last long." It turned out that | |||||||
| Rick's ball was a foot and a half closer and it was good enough to be this week's Closest to the Pin winner. | |||||||
| Bill Meehan reached the green in two on the par five 18th hole. While he was not able to make the putt for eagle, he | |||||||
| did have a tap-in birdie. | |||||||
