Although
the forecast called for a chance of showers, it was decided that the final

as
scheduled. In the end, the rain never
materialized. |

The
championship match featured Rob Moran and Ollie Bisson against Anil Narwani
and Glenn Davis. Playing the |
back
nine, the teams split the 10th hole, Anil and Glenn won the 11th hole to take
a two point lead. Rob and Ollie |
turned
the tables by winning two of the next three holes and held a four point lead
when the teams reached the 15th |
tee. |

Anil
and Glenn cut the deficit to two points after the 15th. They took all four points on the 18th hole
to take a 19-17 |
lead. Rob and Ollie took three points for the low
net scores to forge a 20-20 tie. Rob
and Ollie would need a playoff |
to
decide their match for the third week in a row. |

The
two teams headed to the first tee to begin the playoff. It would only take one hole to decide the
match as Anil |
and
Glenn both made par to win the hole. |

Steve
Schlehuber and George Lewis faced Rich Geary and Sue Donovan in the
consolation match. Their match |
was
another tight one. Rich and Sue built
an early lead after winning the 10th and 12th holes. Steve and George |
got
within two points after winning the 13th.
The lead was still two after the teams traded wins on 16 and 17. When |
Sue
chipped in from in front of the 18th green, it looked like she had given her
team a 21-19 win. However, a data |
entry
error was discovered, which when corrected affected the points for low net
scores. It turned out that this |
|
match
also ended in a 20-20 tie. The teams
decided not to play extra holes and go to the scorecard to resolve the |
tie. Rich and Sue won the tiebreaker as a result
of their winning the 10th hole. |
