This Week in Golf – 7/5/2022
Hackers and Duffers 2nd Annual 3 Club Tournament
The day started off looking kind of gloomy, but upon arriving at the course it overcast with a slight drizzle.  There
were 11 participants for the tournament. 1 threesome and 2 foursomes, Eric’s son Noah and his friend Mitch joined
to fill out the players.  Wayland graciously retained our normal tee times for this event.
The $5 entrance fees were collected, everyone followed the rules and only had 3 clubs and a putter in their bags.
Joe Shea brought a Sunday bag and Ivan brought what looked like one of his kids bags, the clubs were sticking
half way out of the bag.  Everyone seemed to have a different take on what to bring, Bill Meehan, brought his driver,
5 hybrid and an 8 iron.
Everyone seemed to have a good time and a decent round, the best none handicap round went to Joe Shea who
shot 43.
It would appear that Peter Morlock was thinking about dinner when he nearly killed a turkey on the 9th fairway.
However, it appeared that the ball did not injure the turkey enough for Pete to bring it home.
