This Week in Golf – 6/1/2021
The streak of good weather continued this week.  The weekend rains left a lot of water on the course.
Bill Meehan had the low gross score for the week.  He carded a four over par score of 38 on the front nine, which
gave him a net score of two under par.  Bill took 17 of the 18 points in his match.
Meanwhile, on the back nine, Nate Cartwright also carded a score of four over par with a score of 40.  After starting
the round with four straight pars, he birdied the par three 14th hole.  If not for a triple bogey 6 on the 17th hole, it
could have been even better.
The low net score for the week went to Eric Solomont, whose score of 43 on the front nine gave him a net score of
five under par.  Eric made a birdie on the sixth hole, where he hit his tee ball to ten inches from the hole.  That won
the Closest to the Pin prize by a wide margin.
On National Women's Golf Day, Mary Geary had the best round by a woman with a 52 on the front nine, which
gave her a net score of two under par.
There were several other sub-par net scores.  Tyler Finnegan had the best of the bunch with a net score of three
under par.  George Weigler came in at net two under par and Anil Narwani had a net score of one under par.
