This Week in Golf – 5/25/2021
It was another beautiful evening as we started the second trimester of the regular season.
The low round of the week belonged to Bob Paquette, who shot a four over par 38 on the front nine.  Bob had a
birdie on the fourth hole to go along with three pars and five bogeys.  His net score of four under par was good
to set the new Low Net A score for the year.  Bob surprised everyone by arriving ten minutes early for his tee time.
Could there be a correlation between that and his good round?
Ollie Bisson also recorded a net score of four under par to tie Bob for Low Net A for the year.  He made a birdie on
the par three eighth hole after hitting his tee ball to seven and a half feet, which was good enough for the Closest to
the Pin prize this week.
The low net score for the week was recorded by Jimmy Suau, whose round of 45 on the front gave him a net score
of 5 under par.
There were several other sub-par net scores this week.  Matt Morrell had a net score of 4 under par.  One stroke
behind at net three under par was Anil Narwani.  Eric Solomont and Mary Geary posted one under par net scores.
It was a family affair as Jim Geary and his wife Mary faced his brother Rich and his son-in-law Mike McElhiney.
Due in part to Mary's good round, she and Jim prevailed.
