This Week in Golf – 5/4/2021
The morning rain had cleared out, but it was a cool and cloudy evening.  The course was quite wet, with many
puddles in the fairways.
The low round of the week belonged to Nate Cartwright, who shot a five over par 39 on the front nine.  Nate started
his round with four straight pars and finished with five straight bogeys.  His net score of one under par was good
enough to tie the Low Net A score for the year.
Nate's opponent, Joe Shea, also had a net score of one under par and made it a four-way tie for Low Net A.
The team of Tyler Finnegan and Maria Spitzak both turned in net scores of one under par, but Tyler was already
part of the tie for Low Net A.
Anil Narwani also had a net score of one under par.  He won the Closest to the Pin prize with a distance of eight
feet on the fourth hole.
The low net scored for the week was turned in by John Buscaglia.  His score of 43 on the front nine gave him a net
score of six under par 28.  That shattered the previous Low Net B mark.  As a result of his good round, his handicap
dropped and he will take over as the A player on the team next week.
Glenn Davis was playing the back nine and his drive on the tenth hole went through the trees onto the ninth hole.
His approach shot clipped a tree and fell short of the green.  As he went to play his next shot, he was chastised by
one of the maintenance workers for not replacing his divot on the previous shot, even though he had not taken one.
From then on, his group would remind Glenn to replace his divot after every shot.
