The

taking on Bill Meehan and Peter |
Morlock
for the third place prize. Bill had a
birdie on the first hole, but the teams split the hole. Bill and Peter took |
all
four points on the second. After
splitting the next two holes, George and John took three points on the fifth
hole, |
but
Bill and Peter took seven of eight points on the sixth and seventh to stretch
their lead. The teams split the last |
two
holes. After taking all four points
for the net scores, Bill and Peter won by a score of 26-14 to claim third

The
championship match featured Joe Shea and Steve Palmer against Carl Twomey and
Greg Martinez. Carl and |
Greg
took the first hole, but Joe and Steve squared the match by winning the
second. After halving the third, Joe |
and
Steve took all four points on the fourth.
Carl and Greg took three points on the next hole to narrow the
gap. |
The
lead remained at two points as the teams split the next two holes. Joe and Steve extended the lead to four on |
the
eighth hole. After the teams split the
ninth, it would be left to the net scores to determine if extra holes were |
|
needed. Joe and Steve ended up taking all four net
points to win the league championship by a final score of 24-16. |
Carl
and Greg would finish in second place. |
