This Week in Golf – 7/21/2020
It was another hot, sunny evening, but at least the humidity wasn't too bad.  After last
week's "rain out", it was nice to have a week with no threat of thunderstorms.
Numerically speaking, the low round of the week belonged to Carl Twomey, with a score of
40 on the front nine.  Carl had a birdie on the second hole.
Relative to par, Rick Kilduff's score of 41 on the back nine bettered Carl by one stroke.  His
net score of four under par was also the low net score for the week.  Rick had two birdies in
his round.  He birdied the par 3 14th hole and closed out the round with a tap-in birdie on
the 18th hole after narrowly missing a long eagle putt.
Other noteworthy rounds were turned in by Norma Giannattasio, who had a net score of
three under par, and Alan Fraser, who had a one under par net score.
Mike McElhiney holed out from the bunker for birdie on the second hole.
Judi Gray and John Buscaglia couldn't decide if they were playing golf or billiards on the
eighth hole.  John pulled his tee shot, which struck a tree left of the green and rebounded
back across the water.  Judi's tee shot was also left of the green, but twice she had the
misfortune of hitting the curb of the cart path with her pitch, one of which ricocheted into
the creek near the 11th tee.
