This Week in Golf – 6/16/2020
The string of good weather continued for the last round of the spring.  It was sunny and warm, but the
humidity was low.  Let's hope it continues as we move into summer.
Glenn Davis had the low score this week with a 43 on the front nine.  That gave him a net score of four
under par, which was also the low net score for the week, as well as the new leader for Low Net B for the
year.
Bob Paquette had the best score relative to par with a 44 on the back nine, which bettered Glenn's score
by one stroke.  He finished his round with a birdie on the 18th hole, which was the only birdie of the week
Art Parker also had a good round this week.  His score of 46 on the back nine gave him a net score of
three under par.  That surpassed the Low Net A score for the year, but since Art is an alternate, he is not
eligible for the award.  Art's opponent this week, Ivan Audouin, took advantage as his net score of one
under par ties him for the Low Net A for the year.
John Buscaglia struggled on the par 4's on the front nine, but took advantage of the par 3's.  His tee shot
on the fourth hole settled 9 1/2 feet from the hole.  That was good enough for the Closest to the Pin
Award.  He ended up with a par on the hole.
After finishing her round on the back nine, Maria Spitzak went immediately to the 19th hole without taking
her clubs back to the car.  She made it all the way home before she realized she had left them at the
course.  Fortunately, they were still there when she returned to reclaim them.
