This Week in Golf – 6/25/2019
The rains that were forecast did not come until long after the rounds were over.  It actually turned out to
be a pretty good evening.
The low round this week belonged to Bob Paquette, who shot a score of 41 on the back nine.  Bob had a
birdie on the 11th hole, which was the lone birdie scored this week.  He also joins the tie for Low Net A for
the year with his net score of 3 under par.
Dave Gustafson also had a score of 41, albeit on the front nine.  A fine round, but not quite as good as
Bob's in relation to par.
Steve Palmer found himself without his partner or opponents.  Undaunted, he went on to shoot a 42 on
the front nine, which gave him a net score of 8 under par.  That was by far the low net for the week and
the new Low Net B for the year.  In the process, he took 36 points.  Steve had joined up with the following
foursome, so there were four witnesses to attest to Steve's accomplishment.
Glenn Davis was clearly hoping nobody would remember to record a distance for Closest to the Pin.  He put
down a distance of 200 feet on #6, although witnesses said it was only about 30 paces.  Unfortunately
for Glenn, it was surpassed.  In the end, the prize went to Sue Donovan, who had 12 feet on the 8th hole.
