This Week in Golf – 6/4/2019
Spring finally arrived this week.  Temperatures in the 70's and partly cloudy skies made for a fine evening
for golf.  The course was a lot drier than when we last played.
Carl Twomey had the low round of the week.  His 44 on the front nine was one stroke better, relative to
par, than Mike McElhiney's 47 on the back nine.
The low net for the week went to Eric Solomont.   His 49 on the front nine gave him a net score of one
under par.  That also sets a new mark for Low Net B for the season.  Eric also earned the sleeve of balls
for Closest to the Pin with 15 feet on the 8th hole.
George Weigler had the lone birdie for the week.  On the 15th hole, he had a good drive to the right side
of the fairway.  He chased his second shot up to the edge of the green and drained the putt.
Jim Stead's tee ball on the 16th hole went way right and ended up on the 9th fairway.  His second shot
cleared the trees and left him a short pitch to the green.  He was able to salvage a bogey.
