This Week in Golf – 6/5/2018
After some heavy rains in the early afternoon, the skies cleared up in time to play the scheduled matches.
Once the sun came out, it turned into a very pleasant evening.  The wet conditions contributed to some
high scores.
For the second week in a row, Bob Paquette had the low round of the week.  His 44 on the back nine
was on stroke better than his opponent Mike McElhiney.  Bob's net score of even par was also the low net
for the week.
The front nine seemed to be playing tougher than the back, as Steve Schlehuber's score of 49 was the
only round under 50 on the front.
Only one birdie was recorded this week.  That belonged to Mike Morrill, who chipped in on the fourth hole.
It's a good thing Mike got some practice finishing a hole without using the putter, since his putter would
break a couple of holes later.
