This Week in Golf – 5/1/2018
Week two brought a perfect afternoon for golf with sunny skies and temperatures in the mid 60s.  The
previous night's rain added more water to the course, but it seemed to have dried a bit from opening
night.
Mike McElhiney had the low round of the week.  His score of 42 on the front included a birdie on the eighth
hole.  His net score of two over par surpassed the previous Low Net A score for the season.
Sue Donovan and Bob Paquette also posted net scores of two over par to tie for the Low Net A lead.  Sue
and Bob both played the back nine.
The low net score for the week, as well as the new Low Net B for the year, was turned in by Kevin
Richman.  His score of 46 on the back gave him a net score of one over par.
Steve Schlehuber hit a low line drive off the tee at #18 into the marsh fronting the tee.  It skipped twice
on the water, avoiding all the reeds, and ended up in the fairway.
Not to be outdone, Joe Shea skipped his approach on the fifth hole across the water and on to the green.
Ollie Bisson drained a long birdie putt on the sixth hole.  He knocked a 3-wood about 30 feet above the
hole.  The downhill putt held its line and tumbled into the hole on the last revolution.
