This Week in Golf – 6/22/2017
The first night of summer brought more good weather for golf, with sunny skies and temperatures near 80
degrees.
After a tough week last week, Chuck Bourgery bounced back with a score of 36 on the front nine.  That
was the low round of the week by a large margin.  Chuck had one birdie in his round, which ties Rick Kilduff
for the league lead with 7 sub-par holes.
Steve Palmer had the low net for the week with a net score of 6 under par 29.  He was playing  solo and
did not show any signs of missing his partner as he took a 30-10 victory and put his team back into sole
possession of first place.
Eric Solomont's first week as the "A" player did not go as well as his last few as the "B".  Part of the
problem may have been that it was his partner Ivan Audouin's birthday and they were celebrating with
shots between holes.
It was good to see former member Alex Cruz who was back in town for a visit and was able to sub in a
match.
The Closest to the Pin prize went unclaimed this week, as nobody recorded a distance on any of the par
3's.
